Arabia
Irritation was burning on her paws as she walked and the ground seemed to come alive beneath her. It was not a pleasant feeling, but the fever was there regardless. Someone needed to find her, but on the other hand what was the purpose of that? Who was she to say that someone needed to help her? The humans had made it very clear — she was an invalid, she was useful for only attacking other dogs and protecting her pathetic human.
Nothing had worked out how she ever would have counted and that was enough to make her frustrated. Being alone in this world was not something the pretty scruffed up dog had ever planned on, and now that was the result. Head cocked to the side and the burning feeling that whispered through her skin was enough to make her want to lay down. But that was useless, why lay down and give into the pain? What good would that do her?
Still, she had a feeling it would pass. It would go away just like any other infection had done. She had a strong immunity for what it was worth, and it was not the first time she had been ill with none to look after her. Her human had not cared, not noticed the lethargic female most of the time. Only scolded her when her reflexes seemed to be slow. That was when she could almost sense the blind limb swinging her way.
The reminder was enough to flatten the ears of the German Shepherd, and the pain running through her body was a reminder that could not be denied. She found herself wanting to be hateful at the world; but what was the point? They had not been the source of everything. No on had forced her to stay as long as she had, but the collar around her neck proved that she had not been offered the quick chance at freedom either.
Huffing, Arabia had no choice but to pull off into the park. At least she could find a spot to settle there for a while, away from the busy city, away from the lively living that could not be ignored. It was no fun being an outcast, not when the only goal in mind was to survive.
