"Speech!"
The distant sound of water crashing against the rocks could be heard for miles around. Gallons of water must escape across the rock face everyday, swirling into the frothy abyss below. From the mountains to lake, there were many different waterfalls, from mere trickles into streams, to great, thundering water hurling themselves over the road at a brutal force. Despite it being spring, the Tumbling Falls was still cool and shaded. The water was still bitterly cold and would be an almighty shock if you were to fall in. However, the fall could prove fatal due to the fast current that could sweep you into a rock and crack your head open.
So, as Eleanor padded around the Falls, she kept well away from the edge of the rushing water, and instead situated herself on top of a nice, comfortable rock. She lay down and gazed out at the frothy, white water that rushed passed her at break-neck speed. It was amazing to follow the streams from the mountains, that turned into winding rivers and fast currents. The breeze from the water rustled through her thick fur, and she closed her eyes, content. She couldn't remember what she'd done today, but her full stomach indicated that she must've found a meal from somewhere.
Eleanor hadn't really ventured to the outskirts of the city before, or perhaps she just couldn't remember her last visit. Ellie had heard of waterfalls, but this was better than she had imagined; it wasn't just some rock with falling water, but a place of life and growth, plants entwining itself with nature and the trickling, crashing sounds of water against water. Ellie found it all so beautiful. She shivered. Trees surrounding the area cast the rock Ellie was laying on in a large shadow. Her thick fur prevented her from getting too cold. She supposed there was no point in moving, so she decided to let her last, forgotten meal to digest.
