General Rules
01.) Be a decent human being. Don't join this site to cause drama or start arguments. Everyone is here to have a good time, and if you aren't, you should leave.
02.) Listen to staff members, especially me. Staff members are in charge for a reason, and I get the final say in all arguments.
03.) Be friends with everyone, don't exclude anyone. We don't want cliques forming around here. Post with everyone, plot with everyone, and be welcoming and kind toward guests.
04.) You must be at least 13 years of age to join the site, and everything posted on the site must be rated PG13 or below. This is so we fall in line with Proboards TOS.
05.) We are one account per member. Do not make more than one account, it isn't necessary.
POSTING and ic
01.) All posts should be at least 100 words long. To be honest, that isn't a very long post. This will ensure that you give your partner something to work with.
02.) If you join, you are expected to post AT LEAST once every two weeks IC. This is a role-playing site, and while I want everyone to make friends, chatting in the c-box isn't what you're here for.
03.) Keep good grammar and spelling in mind. ALWAYS proof-read your posts to keep from making silly errors.
04.) We are a semi-realistic site. That means that your canine isn't going to have any super-powers. Keep realism in mind when you post.
05.) Do not power-play or god-mod. Basically don't control another person's character and do not give your character god-like powers.
06.) Your character is allowed to be in more than one thread at a time, but try not to overwhelm yourself.
characters
01.) You can create any wolf, dog, or fox that is native to the North American continent. You may create any breed of dog, but keep in mind that MOST strays should be mixes unless they've escaped from their owners or been abandoned. You may also create dogs who still live with their humans.
02.) You can have as many characters as you want, but you must keep them all active. If staff become concerned with one of your character's activity, you will receive a PM.
03.) Each member is allowed to create ONE Wolf/Dog or Coyote/Dog or Coyote/Wolf, after that any other must be born on-site.
04.) As mention earlier, we are a semi-realistic site. All heights/weights/pelt colors/eye colors must be realistic to the canine that you are creating.
05.) All characters must be at least one year or older, otherwise they would not be able to survive on their own. You cannot make a dog who is pregnant or nursing.
06.) All characters must age and die appropriately. This will be discussed in depth later on.
07.) You may only hold two high positions at a time, and only one of them may be an alpha position. This basically means you can have one alpha and a beta/gamma or two betas/gammas/etc.
breeding
01.) Your canines may breed as young as one year of age, however, the litter is likely to be very small and sickly. Breeding so young is hard on a female dog.
02.) It is better to wait until your female is three years old before she breeds. Her litter will be of a normal size and (most likely) healthy.
03.) Your characters must be involved in three completed threads together before they can apply for puppies.
04.) As mentioned earlier, you may not be graphic. Please fade to black.
05.) Your female will remain pregnant for an entire IC season, or three IC months.
06.) Staff will decide your puppy stats.
07.) Spring and Summer are the best months to have puppies. Puppies born in Fall and Winter will have a significant disadvantage.
puppy aging
keep in mind this is discussed in ooc days
0-5 Days: Your puppy is blind, deaf, and helpless. Basically all it can do is nurse and sleep.
5-10 Days: Your puppy has opened its eyes and can move around a bit. It is still basically helpless.
10-15 Days: Your puppy can now move around and socialize. The mother might allow brief trips outside the birthing den.
15-30 Days: The weaning process begins, your puppy is more stable on its feet. The mother will likely allow it out of the den quite a bit.
30-45 Days: Your puppy is eating meat more and more, and will be completely weaned by the end of this stage. The mother will take it out of den quite a bit. ICly your puppy is now 3 months old.
45-60 Days: Your puppy continues growing and gets more and more steady on its feet. By the end of this stage the puppy will be 6 months old and fairly independent. It can start learning to hunt, but will still need care-takers.
time guidelines
01.) Every IC season will last for 45 OOC days. This means that after 45 days has passed, three months IC have passed. Each IC month is equal to 15 real-life days.
02.) Characters who live in the wild may live a MAXIMUM of 13 years. Characters who have lived with humans all their lives may live up to 20 years depending on breed.
03.) You have to keep up with your character's age. You can either add three months onto their age at the beginning of each new season, or you can wait an IC year and add 12 months. However, with characters below 6 months, it is important to keep a better eye on their aging.
