The morning rays of light glimmered through the blinds onto the dun colored femmes eyes. Blinking away the sleep in her chocolate orbs the giant slides off the bed and lands with a thump on the floor. Suddenly jolted awake Pandora rises to paws and looks over the edge of the bed and smiles to herself as she watches her master sleeping peacefully and un-awakened by her tumbling routine. Lifting her nose to the air she scents the room and makes sure everything is safe before padding out to go look through the house while she awaits her Masters awakening. Marissa snored quietly while Pandora took to exploring the house she knew so well. The golden trophies stood tall and proud in the glass case, that was covered smudges. Adding a new one to the already hundreds of smears Pandora licks the glass case leaving her mark for the day even if the small gesture is an annoyance to her Master Marissa.
Floppy ears flick back as covers are thrown back and the bathroom water starts to run. Pandora turns and trots back to her master with a wagging tail, “You wanna go on a walk, Pandora?” Pandora yips with excitement and her tail wags even faster. Her thoughts racing at 100 miles per hour, she runs back to the front door and grabs at her leash waiting patiently for Marissa to finish her morning routine. The brunette two-legged walks out in her usually clothes and clips Pandora to her leash while she grabs a quick breakfast and then the pair is out the door!
The spring air is filled with pollen and the trees are covered with flowers. Marissa walks with a long stride but it was no match Pandora’s excited energy and at the speed the duo was going they would reach the park in no time and that meant FREEDOM!
The green lawn spread out wide in front Pandora but she yielded by Marissa’s legs as he chatted casually with her other two-legged companions. Pandora heard an audible click and was off in a flash, her Master laughing behind her. The gangly legged 3 year old came to a trot and looked around the park surveying the other dogs around her, but it was fairly quiet today. Smiling to herself, Pandora took a spot under one of the Great Oak trees and rested quietly waiting for something interesting to happen. Maybe meet one of the so called pack dogs she’d heard of or another show dog such as herself. Eitheer way she just wanted a friend to talk to.
