Spring had begin to grasp hold of the Earth and, all within a matter of weeks, the warmer months were creeping up on the creatures that inhabited Oakwood. North had never been a fan of the warmer months, but only because she had never gotten to really enjoy them. Every year she'd gone through and awful period of shedding that made her fur look absolutely hideous, not to mention kept all the heat she kept trying to get rid of clinging to her body. Today's weather was okay, though. North had yet to begin shedding, the sky was blue and sunny and there was a nice breeze that carried with it all the scents in the area, making it very easy to taste the wind and search for canines. After all, she could probably be considered a woman with a cause: bringing canines to the Monarchy. Today, however, didn't really feel like a day for recruiting. It felt more like a day to be spent relaxing and having fun before North had to deal with all the pleasantries of Spring and Summer. Including eventually plucking out all the old, dense fur.
North's toes flexed, her claws digging into the soft soil beneath her. She stood in the middle of a meadow, but all it could be considered at the moment was a big open field. While the flowers still worked up to blooming, only small dots of colors popped up here and now; usually being an obnoxiously bright yellow. However, the dog hadn't ever really had a distaste for yellow. Or obnoxiousness, for that matter. In fact, she always used to tease around about her own obnoxious personality to make her brothers laugh: usually failing because of the lack of a common sense of humor. Her ears flattened, scanning the horizon with a heave of her chest. So far the day had been proving to be a quiet one. She shrugged it off, figuring everyone deserved a day off and she eased herself into the grass and rolling onto her side, her final heavy breath leaving her body as she transitioned into a light, care-free creature. Now all that she was expected to do was site there and soak up the sun, letting the wind's fingers comb through her messy fur.[\size]
